Successful Completion of the ZORA Early Radiation Warning Network Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
AMES d.o.o., together with our partner Outif, has successfully completed one of the largest regional projects in the field of radiation early-warning systems. For the client NRRC – National Radiation Regulatory Commission, we designed, supplied, and deployed a comprehensive network of 200 ZORA monitoring stations covering the entire territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The project officially began with the contract signing in May 2024 and was completed with the final handover protocol in November 2025, marking the transition of the system into operational use.
A comprehensive radiation monitoring solution
The delivered system includes:
-
200 ZORA stations for gamma radiation and environmental parameter monitoring,
-
advanced communication solutions tailored for demanding desert conditions,
-
a fully customized and integrated eEMIS data management system adapted to NRRC’s national requirements,
-
integration with existing safety and surveillance protocols,
-
user training, system validation, and operational support.
Result: A reliable national radiation early-warning system
The new network enables:
-
continuous nationwide gamma-dose monitoring,
-
rapid detection of radiological anomalies or emergency events,
-
centralized processing, archiving, and visualization of measurements within the eEMIS platform,
-
a higher level of preparedness and public safety.
Partnership and implementation
The project was executed through close cooperation between the AMES and Outif teams, providing a complete turnkey solution — from logistics and field installation to software integration, training, testing, and final validation.
