On the 38th APIMONDIADA beekeepers congress , AMES, together with the Beekeepers Association of Slovenia, presented an automatic monitoring system of daily beehive weight increments.
Measuring stations are equipped with electronic scales, which gather information on beehive weights and send it to a central computer through a GSM connection. The data collected is available through the automatic telling machine to everyone at all times.
